Sales & Marketing Executive

Would suit somebody with an understanding of marketing who is looking to work in an agency environment. You may be a business/marketing graduate, have worked as a marketing executive or been working in a sales environment. Above all, we are looking for a super motivated person with an outgoing personality who is keen to learn and develop.

The role

This key role focuses on the acquisition of new business for the agency via appointment setting and marketing activities. You will work with the rest of our digital marketing team to effectively promote the agency and its services. We need somebody who is methodical and keen to apply a structured approach to sales and marketing. Research skills
  • Identify hot prospects to add to the database, via industry publications and other news coverage
  • Identify tender opportunities and alert the directors
  • Ability to find contacts (name, email, phone number) of key people within a targeted company


Sales skills
  • Have excellent knowledge of the company’s services and case studies
  • Keep in regular contact with potential/existing clients on the database via phone or e-mail  in order to build awareness of the agency
  • Secure initial meetings with warm prospects
  • Liaise with the team to produce quotes and proposals
  • Attend initial new business meetings to present the agency’s credentials
  • Build relationships with potential clients up to the point of securing a sale
  • Assist the directors in new business pitches
  • Handle all incoming phone calls and emails to filter out sales and junk


Organisational skills
  • Manage the database, making sure that any new companies are inputted in the correct way and contacts are updated on a regular basis
  • Make sure notes are kept for every sales call/email
  • Make sure reminders/tasks are set after every sales call/email
  • Ensure there is an effective system for client call backs on warm/hot leads
  • Provide regular updates to the directors on progress identifying warm/hot leads


Networking skills
  • Build on your knowledge of the marketing industry in the North West
  • Attend networking events as appropriate
